OUR STUD
Witcombe Hanibal has already proven his role as a stallion producing some lovely ponies. However if you take a scroll through our website you can see the progeny he has already on the ground. So far his breed quality's have been passed on, such as his pretty head, masses of bone and hair, straight movement and fabulous temperament. His own personal profile on the website shows you the tremendous breeding that he has behind him and the prolific show winners of his past. The breeding is full of the popular Kerswell and Eiger shetland ponies which to this day are the forefront of the breed. There are a variety of photos of Hanibal through his career so far to browse through and get a feel of the real character that is Witcombe Hanibal.
Oxgang Scipio is the studs second stallion that we also bought as a foal. He is a smaller in height which is perfect for the smaller mares of the stud and first timers. He is a really kind stallion, has a lovey forward trot and a kind eye. Again his breeding is full of the renowned breeding of Kerswell and Eiger shetlands. We hope that introducing a smaller stallion will add more variety to the ponies that we breed in the future.
The mares are as equally balanced with there strong breeding. We have matched the stallions to the mares we think compliment them.
We hope to increase the amount of ponies that we breed each year, meaning we occasionally will have stock for sale. The others we shall retain here and bring on ourselves. If you have any enquiries please just send us an email and we shall do our best to accommodate.
